Up in the massage chair for almost two hours! This time I had no panic at all and was able to just keep breathing when I started feeling stressed.
This kind of therapy it's so important even for very high-level injuries like mine, because it challenges the body to adapt to a totally different position then what my body was accustomed to about a year into my injury. Blood pressure, inciting the dizziness which would sometimes be the worst whenever I got up in the sling, is the biggest factor that would have prevented me in the past at the beginning of my injury from doing therapies like this.
It definitely takes very skilled people who are knowledgeable in all of the weird things my body can do during an exercise like this to make sure I don't pass out or put pressure on areas that are not capable of bearing weight like before. At the same time it is good to challenge certain areas and simulate the feeling of weight bearing because otherwise the body won't remember when or if movement is regained.
