I have heard from lots of creators that they had to mute whole portions or mess with the pitch to play this on YouTube which is really interesting! I think that would make me very sad so lets just keep this YT Members and Patrons only for now! I haven't done anything but just keep the music at a lower volume so we will see. I loved what I played so far, if there are any FF7R fans out there let me know what you think and any tips or advice because it was information overload for my adhd brain hahaha. What a bloody gorgeous beautiful game and soundtrack though, wow. Happy to pick up the new game on stream later if this series never goes anywhere so we got options! I probably wont do too much fuss on the editing for this one because its such a beast of a game, also I don't know if it would just be really distracting to have lots of edits.
Sorry for all the inconsistency and randomness! Over the last week I just wanted to play really random things with no rhyme or reason hahaha. Thought I may as well let y'all watch this part while the copyright hasnt been an issue yet :)
I am going to stream tomorrow evening over on Twitch! Going to play Dark Souls Remastered New Game Plus because I miss it so damn much.

Though by now I've forgotten most of the story (but not the Chocobos!) So I'm not sure what I'll reneger as the same or different. Oh well, will be fun to watch regardless! PS: I like your corset-thingy! It's probably got a slightly more official name but it's like a cross between a corset and a shoulder holster! 10/10

2024-01-04 23:50:34 +0000 UTCIt's a surprise to see you start this one, but a welcome one for sure! It's a really cool game, your reactions to things will probably make it even better. Don't be afraid to be a bit lost in the story (and all the game mechanics), the game gives you a lot of time to figure it out later :) And a stream too? We're getting spoiled! I'll try and be there, for sure. Princess Mononoke is one of the few Ghibli films i haven't seen! I should sit down for it one of these days.

I was meaning to give it another playthrough before part 2 is released but watching someone else make their way through it is going to be more entertaining. Only advise I can give to try and do as many side-stuff as you can... and when you level up make sure to prioritize materia slots. Aside from that just have fun.

2024-01-04 20:29:00 +0000 UTCBTW, just to chime in on the story a bit and your memories about it. This is not a like for like remake. The general plotline and all major events are the same, but they also added entire story beats to flesh out certain characters more. One is actually coming up in the next chapter that wasn't in the original game and it's one of my favorite moments. Then they also added a bunch of stuff, already coming up in the current chapter, to frankly pad out the runtime. This entire game just covers the Midgar part of FF7 and that was about 5 hours worth of story and gameplay in the original. So they added a couple more open chapters with sidequests as well as longer sections to traverse and fight through from storybeat to storybeat. It can kill the pacing here and there, but it does add to overall worldbuilding; so YMMV. Oh and the ghosts flying around? They weren't in the original game either and their addition has been somewhat controversial for quite a few long time fans. Just...don't worry about it for now.

The opening bombing mission took me ages to get through on my first play through because I was just jamming out to the soundtrack! Highly recommend going to watch it performed in concert if anyone ever gets a chance. As for tips, I'd just recommend using your ATB charges as often as you can for abilities as they are what do the most damage and build the most stagger. Keeping track and switching between characters can be confusing at first but once it clicks it becomes a lot easier.

2024-01-04 14:53:47 +0000 UTCI've been meaning to play this remake for quite a while, but I keep putting it off (life, adulting, lack of free time, etc.), so it will be cool to get to see it here...if the YouTube gods allow. The soundtrack is great for sure....though the chocobo theme gets stuck in my head. That's cool that you were able to get that gaming exposure from older siblings. I'm the oldest in my family, so my younger sister probably feels similar to what you are describing...back when she would watch me play Banjo Kazooie or Windwaker. Also been enjoying all your recent looks! What a cool and eclectic wardrobe you have. 😎 👍
