The technical difficulties have been a nightmare lately, I tried to edit this so it wasn't too disruptive but for instance I could not relaunch the game for ages after it force quit after the beginning cutscene and it was such a pain in the butt lol. BUT, hopefully you wont notice too much! Anyway this was great but has a very different feel compared to RE2R so far, I cant quite put my finger on what it is. I feel like I got more cross instead of scared, maybe, hahaha. I REALLY like the music so far :) Thank you for the lovely comments on the last post and for the Alice series. I am looking forward to my break!

So glad you appear to be enjoying it. It was the same for me. A lot of people attacked this game when it came out. It's a little shorter but it's very enjoyable. Even the villains are enjoyable in their own way. For example I thought Nicholai's first appearance was brilliant. You understand almost everything about his character and world view within 30 seconds. You also seem to go in the opposite direction from other reactors that I've watched. You seem to like moral, heroic, and/or optimistic characters rather than just "badass" characters. For that reason I think you might really enjoy RE7 and 8; particularly 8 but 8 is very much tied to 7. First woman I haven't seen swooped off her feet by Leon either. That might change by RE4 but who knows!

It's made by a different, less experienced team to 2 and 4 and I think it shows in the design decisions (for instance, the implementation of Nemesis who is more of a nuisance than scary). Still a decent game, but not on the level of the others

It doesn't have anything approaching that labrynthine feeling of the police station in RE2 (one of my favourite areas in any game). But I am excited to see you play through this one, nonetheless.

2023-10-26 00:54:26 +0000 UTCThis was great! RE3R may not be a true remake in the sense that it doesn't have everything that was in the original, but it's a great game in its own right. Jill is one of my favourite characters because of how cool she is, Carlos is pretty badass, and the rest of the supporting cast are strong performances too. Can't help but get sad when i see Kendo, the man has it rough. My biggest gripe with the game personally is that Nemesis doesn't really feel dangerous or menacing, more of just a nuisance i guess. He looks awesome though. Loved the makeup, really nailing that halloween vibe!

I think the beginning of RE3 can come across more action'y with loud explosions and such, whereas the start of RE2 felt more grounded and suspenseful - maybe that is the different feeling. Either way, glad to see you starting this journey.
