Two Zelda videos are recorded and being edited away at the moment, obviously its taking me weeks to do as per usual but I wanted to talk about Zelda and things on a stream with you all soon. I was thinking of setting up that private YouTube stream for everyone and just chatting and getting used to the settings! I am thinking of trying it perhaps Thursday 7pm BST, maybe sooner, but would that work for anyone? I was going to leave a link here as a post and just play around with the settings and talk a bit if anyone appeared! I also really need some fun as I have a bit of an intense week lined up haha. Let me know!
I also wanted to ask if there is anything you'd like to see more of on Patreon? Maybe we could do more private streams regularly if this one is any fun. I have Jedi Fallen Order to do, I am definitely leaving that as a Patreon only series now! The results of the polls have been really interesting, for example some Resident Evil games didn't get voted for much but I could Patreon-only them as a series so I had the whole collection available somewhere. And just chit chat about upcoming games and plans for the future!
Thank you all for the loveliest comments on the Dark Souls series. Every time I upload a video I get scared its not as interesting or as fun as the last so its been a blast to see people say they're enjoying it so much!
I can't wait to hang out with you all and embarrass myself as I try to make sense of whatever system YouTube live uses lol.

As for patreon exclusives, more of the one-off style games like A Little to the Left would never be a bad thing, but it comes down to finding the right game and having the time to do it - live streaming it or making it a video doesn't matter which imo.

2023-07-17 14:25:50 +0000 UTCIn regards to finding a new game that resonates with the community, I have noticed other channels do "Let's Try" or a "First Look" where they play the first 40-60 minutes of a game. and if people enjoy it, and there is enough engagement, that is chosen as a new Let's Play. As a creator, this would let you try lots of games without getting locked in a long series, and might be fun in the long run. It also might need less edting (the first hour of a game has more discover than hour 20 of a bigger game), so editing-Amber maybe less work to do. Also, the more scattershot way of finding a new game might mean the weird Youtube algorithm will bless one of the videos with good luck

Anything really, even just chatting for a while if that sounds like something you'd want to do. Oh yeah, and don't forget the art steams! I'd be interested, at least. I can't draw at all but like to watch people who can. Probably because I can't, lol.

Please save it though, and at least make it available to Patrons. Or maybe think about doing the stream on the weekend? Lots more people won't be at work ... 😁

I know this isn't super related to the post, but since you mentioned the Dark Souls series I wanted to say how much I enjoy them.

2023-07-17 13:38:45 +0000 UTCI'll try to be at the stream at least! About Patreon, maybe smaller series, or "one-shots", so games you think you might want to play but first want to gauge reaction on? Otherwise, your own idea is good as well, where you just put the games you want to play but are "less liked" on here. Streams sound like a good time too! Still loving your Dark Souls playthrough! Souls games have been my favorite ever since Demon's Souls, and seeing someone play through them for the first time is just a lot of fun. Especially when it's someone like you who's very deliberate and investigative. You find a lot of stuff that is just very easily missed on a first playthrough. And THEN there's ToTK, which is also just a joy to watch because of how much passion you have for the Zelda games. You're putting out great content right now. Well, hope to see you on stream soon, and good luck getting it all to work. Hope you have a great rest-of-the-day :)

I’ve loved the dark souls play though. I have Elden Ring in my backlog with a attempted play though in my pocket to it’s cool to see where a lot of the game mechanics came from and how they evolved. Curious about the poll results!

I need someone to share it with because I put too much effort into it and it has a dope ass name. Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Blood of the Land. If you remember this comment after you beat the game, I’ll gladly still send you my thesis on the ideal third game.
