71 square kilometers, which is equal to 27.4 square miles, 17,544 square acres, or 7,100 hectares.
Of that territory, the hold on about a quarter of it is tenuous at best. It is the smallest amount of territorial gains made by Russian forces since August 2022.
Most of these gains are in the Bakhmut Operational Area, followed by Avdiivka. In Avdiivka, some of that territory has already been lost in April, while the gains in Bakhmut have likely offset the total to near zero.
