Please please please please no Linnea bashing. PLEASE. Let's move on. You got the what happened. It was messy. It was unfortunate. But please - the war is in Ukraine and Russia.

2023-06-19 14:50:40 +0000 UTCOption 3 is the best option in my mind for the interim. In regards to AI, even the best option currently out there I think isn't a good idea. I've heard some and honestly they're absolutely mind blowing at how good they are, but this is a podcast/organisation about integrity, truth, accuracy and most importantly, humans. If you/we move to a synthetic daily report then I fear we lose that human element. The human element of all the effort, time sweat and tears and frankly humanity that you all at Malcontent spend to ensure we stay informed, and the human element of your sources (some, I am sure put their lives on the line to get information out to you). When I first heard Linnea (at 1.6x speed and auto silence trimming) I initially thought she was a bot in fairness. It nearly put me off, but I stuck with Malcontent because you were the only people doing what you were doing (and arguably still are). Over the course of several episodes I came certain that Linnea was actually a person based on her subtle flair. I hope you find a good fit for the team and it's a shame what happened, happened. Although I get the impression that there was some heat/drama involved in the split it really isn't important to us as the audience. The information is. And I think that providing that Linnea can find success in setting up their new podcast and continues a strong sense of integrity and truth, there's no reason why we can't also listen and support her as well as you with our ears. Especially if they may reach different conclusions or analysis...es to you. Anyway, I'm rambling. Flash reports are great. 2-3 audio releases a week on the key news points would also be great. Keep up the snark 🙂
