So What Happened?

Most people know I caught COVID in early June. I didn't have it "bad," was sick for about a week, about two days were just pure awful. I would equate to catching the flu, norovirus (my stomach was torn up), and mono at the same time. Not pleasant.

Many know I've been struggling with long COVID, but no where near as other people. The three issues I've been working through in order - constant exhaustion, cognition, and migraines.

I had one or two migraines in my life before COVID and one was while I was very sick and struggling to stay alive almost 20 years ago, and another one was just a random, what the Hell.

Yesterday evening, I got a migraine. It was horrible. I even tried to write a very brief, "can't do it," with the phone in dark mode because light hurt so bad but no dice. So I took some medication and went to sleep - and woke up at 7:30 AM.

So that's what happened.

Longer two-day special edition SITREP tonight - off to record the Sunday podcast.

haha. I know you are joking but I answer anyway! No one understands it completely but it is all about repairing your brain, both the hardware and software (physical part and the memory/processing part).

What is this thing called sleep you speak of?

Lack of sleep can also trigger migranes. Get your sleep please! Try to get some assistance with the things you do at 1am so you don't have to stay up so late so often.

Agree, don’t push it tonight!

Take it easy. Your health is more important than a daily deadline. Feel better.

As somebody who got Covid and got his ass kicked the first few months of the first Covid summer, and who has had chronic migraine for most of my life, I feel for you man. Plan to take longer to recover than you want it to, but you need to rest.

Take it easy. Take care!

Take care of yourself and your family first and foremost. Do what you need to do

2 1/2 years post covid, and I'm having the same issues with exhaustion, cognition, and migraines. I also developed a sudden case of vasculitis in my legs about a month after recovery that to this day is still unexplained

BTW, COVID and long COVID are very real - you don't want this

Stay healthy! Take the time you need. When the smoke finally clears on this Ukraine coverage I'm looking forward to hearing from you on the subject of how Malcontent News grabbed the war, focused energy and became, in my opinion, one of the top two Ukraine War sources in Media (the other of course being IWS), Its amazing how you pivoted.

Migraines are the worst I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that.
