They're barely down a few points in the 1st set of a practice game after beating the best team in the prefecture in a 5 set finals. How does any of that equate to them not improving or having doubts before nationals? Kurosuno beat Date Tech 2 straight sets the last time they played, and defeated the team Date Tech lost to last time. It's best to not jump to conclusions so quickly, especially when there's no evidence to support it.
