There have been a few clues as to FitzSimmons & Deke being related... Deke is very Fitz like in his mannerisms, something that you picked up on. Deke described his mother as being very intelligent, as the daughter of FitzSimmons would be. Deke rebuilt the Framework. The 'time machine' was completed by Deke's father who took up the task after his wife was killed, who (probably) carried it on after her parents died. Not sure if this has ever been confirmed, but the first time we see Jemma, Deke & Fitz in the future they are all wearing headgear of some sort. A writer's in joke perhaps?
