Exclusive: Robert shares a song that is only minutes old.

I've had it in my head for years that I wanted to write a song about when me and Kristina fell in love.

The first part of our relationship was all going night-clubbing in the earlier 90's. So I wrote this song about it, and wrote it to sound like an earlier 90's song.

Eventually I plan to have a big sexy sax solo in this, as I FIRMLY believe sax solos are coming back. But since I wrote this today, and our sax player Pete isn't here, you guys get to hear me solo on bouzouki, through my new rock amp! (woo hoo!)

Here are the lyrics. I think I'll call it...

"Their Own Folklore"

sitting on a patchwork
sofa in a rental home.
Emotions grey.
Feeling all alone.

Must be more to life
then old carpet and peeling paint.
Cobwebs, and dust.
Was this her fate?

In an alley running she grabs his hand.
Hear the club drums pulsing the call in grand.
Past the door man onto the packed dance floor,
SpiningSpinning turning becoming their own folk lore.

Strobes are flashing glitter and sparking eyes.
Sweat is dripping, skirt and tall Thing highs.
His hands around her, feeling her narrow waist.
pulled her closer, lips upon her face.

She was all he thought about
when he was home along at night.
White blond pig tails,
Pale skin so tight.
Now it seems his story
was something that he could rewrite.
He held out his hand.
They ran into the night.

Fabulous as is! I will enjoy both versions. Thank you for sharing the music.

I like it already and as I commented on YouTube, I look forward to hearing the polished finished version complete with the sexy sax. I neither know nor care if they are making a general comeback, but I can see where it would add to the overall 90s mood you have going here. Thanks for sharing!
