Added 2020-12-02 19:38:27 +0000 UTCI originally wrote this song as a heavy goth-rock track on our early 2000's album, "From Dreams Or Angels", and though that version is pretty great, I never felt the format of that song really made the lyrics stand out in the way they should. The arrangement and the lyrics seemed like separate entities that didn't go together.
So in 2018 I wrote this arrangement, featuring a lot more acoustic instrumentation and a feel that really represented the lyrics more authentically.
I consider it one of my more important songs, although it's not the sound or lyric content we eventually became know for. I tried to make a video for this song for years, and never really got the look right, and always ended up throwing everything away. .
I'm thrilled to death that I was finally able to make a video that does the song justice.
