Perhaps this shoddy vest embodies a lesson for all of us: that bending yourself to the needs of others, while it seems nice on the surface, is ultimately destructive and we should strive to be individuals, each marching to our own band, twirling our own baton, and playing our own tuba.
Or it could simply be a crappy vest that fell apart and left our heroine naked in front of an admittedly appreciative group of nuclear plant workers. At least our boys, here, are making an effort to look nonchalant. There's a ray of sunshine in many situations if you only decide to look for it.
