Yeah! I interpreted that moment of Chizu being surprised and bashful by Ryu’s words. Since Ryu is not open about his feelings like that. Maybe a part of her liked hearing those words from Ryu meaning another way but didn’t want to get her hopes up. She was rejected by someone who saw her as a sister since childhood. Edit: But I’m pretty sure the Ryu confession may have been more of a teaser of what’s to come in the manga
