THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA S1E10-12 [UNEDITED]

What an INCREDIBLE season!

CONTENT WARNING (18+)!!!

Comments

The amount of times this man has made me go to youtube to look at the edits is cruel and ingenious

Ekville

Also excited for your reaction to the next arc. LMFAO

Carly Chapman

I would love to see you react to the actual campaigns, Casper, but each episode is 4-8 hours (campaign finales are usually the longest. The campaign 3 finale was 8.5 hours), and there's over 100 episodes per campaign. So if you want to do it on your streams or something, by all means! I'd watch the hell out of it! But it's definitely a huge time commitment

Carly Chapman

I am SO happy you are doing the entire series! and I really hope you will react to the campaign! though that might be a bit much I do really want to see you react to Sams Songs and some of the amazing parts of the campaign! Lets continue with Season 2!

Phamy Caint

Just became a patron member (mainly) to be able to see your Vox reactions, very hyped for this session!!! Also going to be following the Phantom of the Opera reactions as it is one of my favorite musicals!

Lumi Nate

The heavy metal part has gotta be one of my fav tv moments of my life haha love it SO MUUUUCHHHH

Broody Gaming

The Phantom kidnaps Christine, scares her, is creepy jelous, kills a man Caspet: meh Rauld doesn't smile Casper: surely he is evil

Chiara

full campaign reactions would be - as others said in these comments - unfeasible. However, there *are* "table to screen" videos where people have edited together moments from the campaign combined with what they became onscreen. Sometimes, it's several different moments. However, searching youtube for those yourself is likely to result in spoilers for the Table to Screen videos that people have edited for seasons 2 & 3. If you'd like, I could find a bunch for season 1 that you could react to.

cobaltbeau

Ah, the dragons. The moment the campaign *truly* began 🙏🏻 Matt Mercer is a true genius Also, I would adore a reaction to the campaign however the shortest episodes are over 3 hours so it would be QUITE the commitment!

Kiki

Or shopping, much to travis’ misery 😂

Kiki

should you want to react to the campaign you absolutely could- but you might want to make it like a highlights reel type of thing: as great of a series as CR is it is hella long eps-and if there is a fight sometimes that fight is all that really happens.(or shopping) but if all else fails you definitely should watch even if its off screen

Brittany Cornwell

When it comes to watching actualplay, I would recommend ExU: Calamity and ExU: Downfall, DMed by Brennan Lee Mulligan but in the universe of Vox Machina/Tal'Dorei ! They are basically prequels set before and during the Calamity! Always love seeing people react to them (especially since it's much shorter than the year long campaigns, though still complex in other ways)!

EngelDraws

if i remember correctly, It was about a year and a half between season 1 and 2

TumultuousToad

Once you've finished Vox Machina season 3; there is a fan made remake of the entire Hamilton soundtrack for Vox Machina that covers the Campaign plotline of Season 2 and 3. Would love to watch you react to that soundtrack!

Ryan Ratchford

I'd love to see you watch the original campaign.

Ryan Ratchford

I would LOVE you to react to the campaign! I have been struggling to find a reaction for it and I KNOW that you would love it so much!

Kat

I already sent to him

Cecereads23

Don’t think he did please be respectful

Cecereads23

Reacting to all of the live play campaigns would take SO much time. Watching/listening to it is definitely worth it, it's an amazing feat of storytelling and roleplay and (voice) acting, but to give you an idea: episode 3 - 12 of the show were about 15 sessions in the campaign, totaling a runtime of 61 hours vs the 6 hours the animated series took. All of the first campaign (115 sessions) is around 448 hours, second campaign (140 sessions) clocked in at 557 hours, and the third campaign which just wrapped up three days ago (121 sessions) ended up being about 507 hours. I would suggest reacting to the best table-to-screen videos and then enjoying the campaigns for yourself, but ofc you do what you would prefer most!

Watching someone react to their campaigns... ... ... 🤔 I am intrigued by your idea considering I've never seen anyone react to a campaign. I've seen animatics of specific campaign moments, and I've seen compilations of hilarious moments amongst other things. And I haven't watched campaign one since it ended, so I'm all for giving it a try at the very least. I mean you don't have to worry about visuals and sound effects at the very least. Just music ambience. Oh boy, you would love the studio they got after leaving geek and sundry too. Now I'm sort of geeking out to imagining this... ... .... just fair warning it will be alot of editing, their episodes average 4 to 5 hours if we exclude the 6 to 8 hour episodes. And then you have to consider if you will the Calamity mini series they did with Brandon. 🫣🫣🫣 your looking at bettween 300 and 400 episodes between 3 campaigns and they are starting campaigns 4 finally. The finale of 3 was this week. When I binged the series a few years back (watching back to back episodes without a break) it took me 3 months before i was watching the live streams. So you need to plan this wisely if you do.

OMG, also make sure you check out Scanlan's Season 1 wrap up song--it's one of the rare complete Scanlan songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6quct4MdF50. It was a stand-alone release from Prime to get people ready for Season 2 when it came out.

Cara Freya Hoglund

I can't wait to see you react to more Vox content, whether it's the playthrough, or the next season. Good on you for getting through the undead season! I really hope you'll give the behind-the-scenes a look too, as I'm sure you'll love the episode specifically about the music. It's all on youtube!

Sam Young

Sure, react to the actual campaign :) I'm rewatching it now, in fact. So much good stuff in there, and you really get to see the dynamics between the group members. (Sam really *is* Scanlan.) Start ep 28. Thing is, each episode averages 4 hrs long, so.... be ready for a long ride.

Cara Freya Hoglund

so excited for the next seasons!! I agree with everyone else that reacting to entire episodes might be a lot because they are so long. If anything it would be cool to see a reaction to a comparison of the scene from the show to how it was in the campaign, or maybe scenes from the campaign that didn't make it into the show. Actually, even some reactions to fan songs for critical role would be cool to see!

Ricky Duron

Hey Casper! This is probably one of my most enjoyable watch-thru's with a reactor. So glad you are enjoying yourself. Can't wait to see S2 and S3!

Spidergirls Mama

It would be so much fun watching you experience the actual campaign 🤩 Keep in mind though, that the episodes are like 4-5 hours long! For campaign 3 (totally different characters) they have abridged versions, but not for Vox Machina. So I don't know how that would work as a youtube video. You'd probably either have to cut down your reaction significantly, or do several videos per episode, or do it as a patreon exclusive... Just something to ponder about! Also, if you do decide to watch the campaign, I recommend to start with the Briarwood arc - it should be episode 20-something, I believe. They really got their groove by then and there is a reason why that arc is so beloved! The one before (the Kraghammer arc) is good to get to know the characters, but basically you already know them. There are some scenes in the Kraghammer arc that are freaking amazing and they live rent free in my head, like the introduction to Gilmore. But generally speaking starting with the Biarwoods should be the better experience.

Re: watching the campaign, I would LOVE to watch your reactions to the liveplay, but that's a LOT of content, you may be better off going with a recap like SuperGeekMike. Re: Orthax, Taliesin (Percy) came up with the contract/possession idea for the backstory, and left it up to Matt Mercer if the demon was real or if Percy was crazy.

Stephani Moss

Campaign 1 Spoilers! When Taliesin wrote Percy’s backstory, he left it ambiguous for what/who caused him to dream up the gun. Matt took that idea and created Orthax. Tal didn’t know about the deal for sure. And neither did Percy

Compass Rose Creates

"What is that ball?" That is known as the Spinny Ball of Death, more will be revealed in time! ❤️

Stephani Moss

Hi Casper! If you choose to watch the next season, Slight Spoilers..? there is a LOT less undead! Though there are a couple jump scares in episode 4, and I think 6..? I can get you those timestamps to help you with your phobia

Compass Rose Creates

Gosh dang it, of course Cas looks away when the yellow Charm effect flashes in Cassandra's eyes 😭

Dylan Mancy

Casper, you should absolutely watch the Table to Screen youtube videos from s1. The cast already knew a little about Anna Ripley when they find her in the dungeon, disguised. It's Marisha (Keyleth) who figures it out first, and her reaction is AMAZING 😂

Stephani Moss

"Is this the end of the campaign?" Nat 1 Casper, you just said there's a season 2 you're going to watch! Each season is approximately it's own Arc from the campaign :)
