Reading the April 2023 Harper's Magazine I came across this article, originally from Dissent, https://www.dissentmagazine.org/article/the-agoraphobic-fantasy-of-tradlife Pretty good review of this trend. I'm calling it a trend. Seems a bit glitzy this stuff on Tik Tok all neat kitchens and hot if slightly dowdy young women. I suppose these girls are the tip of an iceberg that includes less interesting women busy with their domestic bliss or hell, or whatever it might be. I'm a Muslim and run into lots of very traditional women but they exist in a rather substantial network of extended family, or families, and other women; not in the more restrictive environment of a nuclear family. Wouldn't have even known this trend existed online without Shoe.
