I was working on a tiktok of Neebs and Lug today using the sound of Josh Hutcherson groveling at some point during Future Man...but I slowed down a bit once I realized this will be one of those "Context? What context?" tiktoks I'm prone to making lol.
I figure this pathetic begging scenario would happen sometime after a life threatening event like the one mentioned in the second image. Neebs would realize she cares about Lug way too much and decides for herself that they (but more importantly she) will be better off without each other. By then, Lug would be very attached to Neebs despite knowing she's been trying to use and manipulate him to get what she wants. Lug wants to be around her because he has fun and feels pleasure he hasn't gotten anywhere else when with her.
(One toxic trait about Lug that is different than Kree is if Neebs said she still wanted to part ways after his begging, Lug would likely follow/stalk her. He would say to himself that he just wants to be there for her, to protect her, but really its more that he can't give up how he feels when she's near.)
