Shadow Tactics

Basically, I love miniatures. I don't always use them when I run games, but when I do I like battles that feel like fun tactical puzzles.
I also love Shadowdark's streamlined, elegant rules. It's the version of BECMI that I didn't realized I needed until I first gave it a run.
As a miniatures enjoyer, I wanted to add a tactical element to Shadowdark combat without bogging the game down. Shadow Tactics is a Shadowdark supplement that adds point-based movement and facing to the game, along with a more random take on initiative.
You'll also find some new weapons and a set of special combat maneuvers that characters who have access to all weapons - my proxy for "fighter types" can access.
I've used some of these rules in my Shadowdark home games. Others I've messed around with in little tactical playtests to get a feel for them.
If you like pushing little metal and plastic fantasy figurines around a grid as much as I do, I think you'll enjoy them.
