Early into filming An American Werewolf In London, John Landis and Frank Oz would frequent the British comedy club, the Comic Strip, where they saw an act called 'The Dangerous Brothers', performed by Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson. Landis loved the pair and asked them both if they'd like to be in his new movie. Having no idea who John Landis was, Ade Edmondson said no, but Rik Mayall decided to go along and play a minor role as an extra. Rik and Ade would go on to become British comedy legends with shows such as 'The Young Ones', 'The Comic Strip Presents' and 'Bottom'.
