And remember that Obi Wan is learning how to become one with the Force by his former master Qui Gon Jinn who in fact became the first Jedi in history to become a Force Ghost. Qui Gon died before he can master it so he can’t manifest himself as a ghost but can still speak with distorted voice. Yoda successfully learned and mastered this by passing all the trials the Force Priests and Qui Gon tasked him to do back in the events of the Clone Wars. Obi Wan will eventually master this as well before the time of A New Hope. Whoever becomes one with the Force aren’t really dead but rather transcended death itself by letting go of their bodies so that their consciousness would be one with the universe and be immortal. And immortality is something that Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine is desperately trying to obtain.

2022-06-07 04:52:05 +0000 UTCSome fun facts. The girl who was offering spice to Obi-Wan and said "I was someone's daughter once", is Ewan McGregor's daughter, Esther McGregor. The veteran soldier was not a stormtrooper, but a clone trooper, played by Temuera Morrison, who plays Jango Fett, Boba Fett (who is a clone of Jango), and voices all the clone troopers in the prequel trilogy. The clone troopers had been given accelerated growth so that they would be combat ready in half the time. But that also meant that they would grow old fast as well. Boba Fett on the other hand is an exact clone of Jango, without accelerated growth. Obi-Wan knew that Darth Vader is Anakin, but thought he had died from his injuries after their fight on Mustafar in Episode 3. So learning 10 years later, that he is still alive must have been a pretty big shock.
