SOUXSIE THE BANSHEE - COSPLAY PROGRESS

First, I started making all the belts!

Made the pauldron base out of worbla !

Started the breastplate base out of worbla

Tiara made with EVA foam

Made a tiny hole for the LED gem!

Beginning of sanding my life away...

Completely finished the base for the breast plate and pauldrons! (foam wrapped in worbla)

Base for shoe armour done (worbla)

Leg armour! (worbla)

Finished all the shoe armour details with worbla!

belt buckle base made with worbla and skull made out of clay foam (this shit is magic btw! super recommend it's super lightweight and easy to sculpt)

Now the super tedious part which completely FUCKED my neck/back up. So I made the stencils on every single armour piece then pinned it onto eva foam, traced it, cut it out. THEN THE ABSOLUTE WORST 3 DAYS OF MY LIFE was sanding every single damn detail piece so it had dimension and looked pretty. I lost a LOT a sleep during this process. ;w;

So dis guy right here goes right on top of my pauldrons for that neat lil spike (made with layers of eva foam and glued together with contact cement) 

Here it is sanded a bit (not fully done) these guys legit took me fooooooooorever to smooth out and get that really cool spike effect that you will see in my finished cosplay photos.

Fiiiiiiiiiinally finished sanding all the details (yay) Sadly this was not the worst that I was covered in foam dust LOL rip

next part was attaching all the details on the bases... oh god will it ever end LOL

SO breastplate and pauldrons are ready to be primed (details all attached and LED gems attached) then painting, then adding the feathers on the pauldrons and the belts on the breastplate ;w;

LEG DETAILS DONE

SOOO most major details are all attached and all these pieces are ready to prime! (breastplate, pauldrons (4), belt pieces (6), gauntlets (4), hip pieces) leg pieces, shoe piece and the tiara)

After I glued details on I then took my soldering iron and added lashes and such to make the armour look "worn"

next was the cape! sewn and all side details were painted on, then I took an airbrush to add some shading as you can see on the right side of the cape :)

OKAY SO THIS PART. which I literally got zero photos of the progress. but it was one of the pieces to my costume that I was super proud of. Reason as to why, it doesn't look it but the BELTS HOLY. it's detailed and it took me an entire night to figure this shit out. Purple fabric was also distressed and weathered ! The belts attach to the hip pieces and hold them up :)

Also on the side/back of the belt (which isn't pictured) I added studs along the side.

another thing I didn't get progress photos of which is my pants and shirt. I distressed my pants and if you look closely.. I hand threaded ALL of that stitching on all sides of the pants so it would replicate the photo perfectly. A sewing machine wouldn't sadly be able to do that. It took me a very looong time oh god.

Literally was running out of time so I had to do the rest of this in LA. So I primed ALL my armour which took me like a full day to do. I primed the armour pieces with plasti dip around 3-4 times so it would get a very smooth look. 

THEN ONTO PAINTING. oh god painting. I literally spent 3 fullllllllllllll entire days painting.

Anyways this was the starting of painting the breastplate. I then realized I HATED the silver I was using. So I ended up going out and grabbing a new silver (that I loved ten times more) but that also meant... having to repaint what I already started haha oh boy.

So here is some of the armour fully painted! all was left to do was add attachments and straps then the feathers WOOOOO

NEXT THING I did was style this wig . Ponytail wigs are a lil tricky😅

anyways, I am usually TERRIBLE with progress photos. Cause when I'm in the zone I always forget until a lot of the work is done. 

So I really tried this time! Hope you guys enjoyed this. I also am very sleeping typing this so if some of this doesn't make sense I'M SORRY.
