I really don't mind Bella Ramsey as Ellie - but I feel pretty strongly that neither her or Kaitlyn Dever can carry this series. When the game flipped to Abby, gamers really had no choice to go along with it if they wanted to keep playing the game they spent $60 on. With the show, the option to simply not watch it is a thousand times more simple. They're talking about 4-5 seasons to tell the story. I think if the show gets renewed for a 4th season, it comes with the expectation from HBO that it's time to wrap it up.

Don’t know if it’s specifically a last of us thing or a Bella Ramsey thing, so much as it is a fucking annoying teenager thing.. In the shown I’d say she’s acting pretty on par with how a 19yr old would act on a murder mission, which is wildly different to the game where Ellie is a stone cold murder machine. I think the show is more realistic, but as a result can be slightly more annoying at times Also, the bit that did fuck me off was her and Jessie’s chat in the theatre. She’s selfish, she literally just proved earlier that she wouldn’t try to save you if she had something else going on
