Eh. Jackass movies still get made that are way further over 'the line' than stuff like this. These big budget comedies just don't make any money relative to what does. Has nothing to do with whatever fox news narrative you're on about.

Eastbound and Down, Vice Principles and The Righteous Gemstones are all hilarious and you should watch them if you haven't! :}

Blazing Saddles critiqued and shed a light on the Racism of old West and distint lack of Black Cowboys despite history showing that black people were a major part of the old west. While Tropic Thunder Criticized the Hollywood industry on nearly every level. As a black person,I never want to hear about RDJ having to apologize for this role. Any smart black person with a sense of humor sees what his role is Satirizing in Hollywood today with how they go about casting race and the glory seeking Pretentious Actors trying to win awards all the time. Tugg Speedman is the Arnolds/Stallone of the industry. Let me tell you when me and my brothers watched this for the first time we hadn't seen a trailer for it/or a single ad outside of a poster of it at our local Theater. When we saw the booty sweat ad and the following commercials we immediately knew we were in for something good.

2023-11-29 20:12:55 +0000 UTCyeah he was beyond brilliant. But he had the misfortune of going against Heath Ledger for The the dark knight the same year. So he had no chance of winning. I'm just glad the academy had some sense of humor back then and just recognized how great the performance was. Today they would just be offended by it. This shows what a tremendous actor he is. He made this right after the first Iron Man. And I know everyone loves him as Iron Man. And he is perfectly cast. But in my opinion Marvel stole 10 years of great RDJ performances. When I think of the roles he used to play in the 80s or 90s - like Charlie Chaplin or Less than zero. And his peformances in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Tropic Thunder. I miss those! But then he became Tony Stark and he didn't do anything else. Many people don't even know how talented he is, since they only know him as Tony Stark. I was so glad to see him in Oppenheimer this year! Finally something else! ❤

Hard to believe but he even got an oscar nomination for best supporting actor. He lost to Heath Ledger for playing the Joker of course...but still. This would never happen today. At least people could take a joke back then. It's only been 15 years - but this movie would never have been made today. Shame. And Tom Cruise man....I love him so much for doing this. He just looks like he had so much fun. When I watched in in the cinema in 2008 most people didn't recognize him. When his name popped up in the credits while he was dancing at the end of the movie you could hear the gasps and people shouting "oh my god" in the theater. 😂😂
