I haven’t watched this since I was a teenager but seeing it again was hilarious to realize that the kids were all assholes nearly the entire way through lol I don’t know how or why they didn’t seem as insufferable back then. Also, the back story is definitely the best part of this movie. Actually, Sigourney Weaver might be 😏

It’s a lot of people’s childhood film and sir, the rain is not a hammer in the face metaphor it’s MAGIC. the whole story is technically of the fantasy genre. Sam’s death cursed the town, literally. I will say the transitions are terrible lmao, my god the amount of fade to scenes.
