This is one of my all time favorites. I adore this movie. Too add more hyperbole I love F. Murray Abraham's performance as one of the best I have ever watched. The movie is based on a play and much is fictious. Salieri and Mozart were likely just colleagues and did not have anything to do with Mozart's death. I think the end of him composing the Requiem piece is so brilliant showing Mozart's brilliance but more that Salieri finally became Mozart and was possessed by god for that brief moment when he could anticipate the notes, scales.
