i hate when people over hype certain episodes. like an ep might be genuinely funny but when you have dozens of people yelling that it's the best and funniest ever you go into it with impossible expectations and it kind of ruins it. i wish people would let reactors go into things a bit more blindly rather than hype up certain episodes and moments.

2023-09-28 03:38:14 +0000 UTCi can't stand jan omg also i loved the first episode of tonight, survivor man. seeing that michael actually tried jim's idea when he first became boss. you realize that he wasn't always like this and i have to wonder what he was like starting out. someone said once that the office is like trying to manage children. i loved the ending bit with jim and michael talking. michael had such a sweetness to him in that moment. i love the quiet sides we see of michael where he doesn't have to put on this front and can just be genuine. also again, i cannot stand jan!! she's cruel and callous and while michael is a mess, he doesn't deserve the things she puts him through. i loved david wallace in this episode. he's such a genuinely good guy. you can tell he felt bad. it was really cool to see that transposed with how little jan cared. david genuinely felt sorry for michael being in that situation and regretted michael having to hear the things said about him. jan just doesn't care. one thing about david is he sees michael as a person. jan dehumanizes him. she writes him off and discounts him. he's so ridiculous that she's convinced that's all he can be. just a silly little man, no one to take seriously, with no serious feelings. i loved that we got to see david apologize and be genuine and real with michael, as opposed to jan who still is probably riding in that car to their fast food dinner thinking she's done nothing wrong and that michae's "screwed up" her plans.
