As you probably noticed, most of the major roles were played by the same six actors. They are the comedy troupe Monty Python, and they also wrote and directed the movie. They started out with a sketch comedy TV Show called Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969-1974), then made three movies: Holy Grail (1975), Life of Brian (1979) and The Meaning of Life (1983). All are classics, though Holy Grail and Life of Brian are their most popular and acclaimed works, partly due to the fact that they have some semblance of a linear plot, where their other works are purely collections of sketches. Since you enjoyed this, I would highly recommend Life of Brian.
