Actually, the village leader was voiced by Greg Baldwin, the SECOND voice actor for Uncle Iroh in ATLA/Korra, who is still very much alive. The “in memory of” at the beginning of the episode was for Akira Kurosawa, the director of the film “Seven Samurai”, which the episode was heavily inspired by. Hondo (the pirate) is voiced by legendary voice actor Jim Cummings, best known as Winnie the Pooh. You’ve actually met him before, in 1x11 and 1x12. He’s one of my favourite characters in the Star Wars franchise. Embo (Raiden) is also awesome, and he’s voiced by series creator Dave Filoni.
