Great catch on jimmy looking like chuck.
I think Gus realized that since Lalo was "convinced by" Jimmy, that that was not the important part of the plan for Lalo, and something else was going on.
It will be funny watching BB lab scenes again, especially the ones where Walt & Jesse are being annoying in the lab, knowing whats underneath them.
Lalo is also one of my favorite villains in a long time. I think my favorite part about how this story concluded was his relationship to Gus, and what beating Lalo means for him. Gus has never, ever shown any signs in both shows of being afraid of off at all, except here against Lalo. His precise preparation beat out Lalo's expert improvisation. But really (and I think they already talked about it) he beat him with luck. Just shooting blindly in the dark, and he lucked out and won. And now, as we see in BB, Gus never is afraid or off ever. He can be annoyed by Walt, but he never, not once viewed him or anything else in that show as a serious threat. He already beat the biggest threat for him; Lalo. Because no one can be as deranged as him (or so he thought, as he finds out with his death to a man who poisons a child/bombs on old folks home).
