A lot of the Studio Band players were black in Whiplash.

As a jazz fan i find it a tad disrespectful that black faces have zero importance in his movies and almost seem non existent. Been a long time since i've seen this flick though. I know jimmy reactions to J.K simmons will be funny.

2022-05-01 07:29:50 +0000 UTCWhat a great reaction. The music is so good in this. I've never gotten into listening to jazz while at home, but I always find myself enjoying it when I go out to a jazz club. That final scene is a masterclass in everything that is filmmaking.
