This last season is based on book 6, so there are still 3 books left in the series. Book 6/S6 is a good place to pause the series, it closes out the earth, mars, and belt story line we've been watching play out since S1. The novella Strange Dogs, that opened each episode gives us a glimpse into where the story goes next, where admiral Duarte, Cortazar and what happens to the kids play a big role. One clue, Duarte to Marco this ep " I've got gods to kill" and Cortazar being able to turn on that ship orbiting Laconia. This is a natural stopping point because there is a 30 yr time jump between book 6 and 7. Which isn't that bad in The Expanse world thanks to all the anti aging tech they have. Life expectancy on earth is 165 yrs, even more for martians. Amazon has the rights for another few yrs, after that Alcon has said there is no reason they can't finish the rest of the series. I think the last words in this ep, that Naomi says is "lets just stay here for a minute" is a nod to fans that it will be back! I think they did a fantastic job adapting these books and even improved a lot of the book material. I love this finale and I'm glad you enjoyed this whole ride, that it was a satisfying conclusion for you! I had a lot of fun watching with you...even S1 lol Thanks, Jimmy :)
