That cutting dude in half scene is still so mind boggling. Like I legit couldn’t imagine being split like that. Hurts every time I watch it

Still he managed to kill more of them than everyone else, rescued his wife - and he even made it out alive. That's one tough bastard. Brooder was probably my favorite character, I wish he would've lasted longer and Chicory was hilarious.

I think Mathew Fox kinda stole this one... although Kurt Russel's hair and beard are always wondrous... and Richard Jenkins looked like he was having a blast playing that character. The guy who wrote/directed this (S Craig Zahler) has an interesting style, I think. His other films might be worth checking out in the future (Brawl in Cell Block 99, Dragged Across Concrete). I'm more keen on the former than the latter, myself. edit: The violence in this is so jarring that it kinda makes every other movie look edited for television. Green Room gave me a similar vibe, violence-wise.
