2021-12-04 20:59:16 +0000 UTCThat's how I interpreted it as well. By saying he wants it and he's ready he basically means the opposite. If someone repeatedly says "I want it, but it's okay if it's someone else" he doesn't want it, but has to be nice about it.

2021-12-04 17:18:33 +0000 UTCI interpreted Roman’s call with his dad as him implying he doesn’t want it right now, but that he knows he still needs to sound like he’s all in for the sake of securing his position within the company/family. I think his dad saw right through Roman’s act, and that’s why he said “Roman’s out” right after the call ended.
