First Time Watching Inside Out!!!

I never really thought about but it makes tons of sense

Beardo2517

I had to hold it in I was watching it with my mom in the theater lol. Luckily I can watch it at home and cry haha

Beardo2517

I must have missed it because most of the animated movies since '92 have not featured a "white" character in terms of skin color. Jasmine, Pocohontas, Esmeralda, Mulan, Lilo, Tiana. Those are the ones I saw on the list I looked up. I know we got Belle, Elsa and Anna in there but they were European and I don't really consider them white so to speak. I say this not having really seen every single disney animated movie. And I don't count the live action remakes because I don't think they did those right. I honestly don't know any characters who were not straight. TBH I never even think about a characters sexuality. It's DISNEY! They have never just put it out there like that. If I have not seen the movie, it is because I didn't find it interested. I loved Coco, had no desire to see encanto. No particular reason, just didn't look interesting to me.

OH MY GOD! I saw this in the theater and let me tell you! I have never cried so hard, loud and ugly than when I saw Lava. I was with my son and he could not console me. I was saying how unfair it was over and over. He said, "But mom, they have a happy ending". It didn't matter. What he went through was too much for me. I cried for about 15 more minutes. I still cry like that everytime I watch it or hear the song.

Rachel Martinez

Hell yes EOM.

ChickensAreRacist

Wasn't a huge fan of this but the Pixar short (Lava) that was shown before it is my favorite Pixar short.

Beardo2517

LOL, I see what you did there. ;)

Echo Moon

BUT HOW CAN DO THOSE WE WHEN WE MUST THINK OF THE CHILDREN??????? Sorry, couldn't help myself. LoL

Blank EOM

It's refreshing to see a parent who still cares what their children consume.

Gonzo

I personally like the Disney movies from the 90s, I think the demographics of the viewers is a big factor.

Big Frank

I don’t think they have an agenda or get any of the other things. I think they have changed lately (last few years) that make the experience very different than what it was before. I understand advancements and things, but some aren’t it.

Rachel Martinez

I have never understood any of the "Disney is stupid/has an agenda/preying on kids" nonsense myself, Ace. I don't get it. LoL

Blank EOM

I'd love to know how they went off. Cause it seems the second the majority of their leading characters weren't white and/or straight anymore, a whole lot of people stuck their noses up at them and act like they aren't simply being inclusive and diverse. How exactly did they "go off"?

Blank EOM

thankfully this movie was made before Disney went completely off. I would never leave my kids alone with Disney now.

frost1977

I must have missed the message about Disney not being cool. Still pretty damn great.

Aceldamia

I cannot believe how much I have now talked to different people about if Riley is bisexual....

Aceldamia

People don't like Disney now. This was made before Disney started acting stoopid. But I LOVE this movie. Just the opening piano part brings tears to my eyes. Can't wait for you to watch Coco!!

Rachel Martinez

Another great reaction Brother J. Can't wait until you get to more Pixar films like Up, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, & Brave. :)

Echo Moon

One of my favorite Pixar movies! Supposed to go with my sis and nephew to see the second one this weekend.

Tanesha H.

Yay! Good watch. Don't know if I can take the sadness but I want to see how J feels about this one.

RShelby

This is another Pixar banger and tear jerker. JL is going to love it!
