On the road photo dump

We listened to Amarillo by Morning until we made it there last night. We decided we wanted to see more than windmills and truck stops so the gang explored Amarillo's night life.
R R Bar - chill alternative bar with pools tables and air hockey and a solid smokin patioooo. $1 draft beers on Thursday and I saw they have pot stickers amongst the bar food options. I beat L’s ass at air hockey. My cousins in Texas, during my early childhood, had an air hockey table. The chiminea on the patio was another something reminiscent of my childhood.
Broken Spoke - someone at R R told us that Broken Spoke was the 40 and up crowd but I saw an old internet post about open mics on Thursdays. Despite them trying to sway us, L and I said old men and open mic sounds like it could be a great spot for country tunes. When we walked in it was poppin, way busier and livelier than the last bar. Open mic was busy! I got squeezed in to play, thanks to Buster the host, and was accompanied by a whole ass band. Drums, stand up bass, lead guitar, even a trumpet joined me.
Boscos’s - after open mic, pool, and enchiladas from the enchilada man at Broken Spoke we got invited by other bar folk to check out Bosco’s. I liked the lil hobo guy on the logo. You can smoke inside bars in Texas. Cigarette smoking, beer drinking Texans are very proud of that.
