Getting ready to film my new movie!
Added 2019-04-04 23:19:55 +0000 UTCThis week I had a table read with the writer/director and the whole cast! Wow, being in this room humbled me.. The lead actress who I have a huge admiration and respect for, was there!! She was fantastic!! I wanted to say hi to her, but I chickened out.. I definitely felt impostor syndrome. All the lead actors and major supporting characters were PHENOMENAL .. and there I was with my one scene. I honestly don't think I'm on their level of professionalism yet, but the table read was such a rewarding learning experience to watch the pros in action. After the table read, I sat in my car and cried. a lot. I had this huge overwhelming emotional reaction. I felt immense gratitude for the opportunity given to me, but I also didn't feel good enough to be there.. (impostor syndrome) Just being real, I felt like the least professional one there.. I talked to my manager and supportive friends who helped me to understand that it's best to not be the most talented or smartest person in the room. Every opportunity is about learning as much as I can.
I am soooo excited to film my scene in a couple of weeks!! If you forgot, I play the fun party girl who encourages people to drink more & peer pressures a girl to do something dangerous which kills her.. LOL.. i'm a bad friend >.<
thank you so much for sticking with me.. i lost a lot of patrons this month, but I still have you guys :) i am so incredibly grateful for those who continue to show support. this community is truly helping me manifest my dreams into reality.. without you, i would be struggling to make time for my creative endeavors. thank you from the bottom of my heart. i love you so much xoxo

That's so awesome that you got to work with someone you have such an admiration and respect for! You'll get the confidence to say hi in time I'm sure! As far as the professionalism goes, you definitely shouldn't be down on yourself. Your new, I bet they've been to dozens of these readings. The advice you got is really good! You're much better off soaking in as much as you can versus walking in to the reading like you think you're better than everyone. You're awesome! But we can all learn some things from people more experienced then us. As far as your scene, remind me to run from any party with you when you're pushing drinks on people ππ

2019-04-04 23:24:23 +0000 UTCI get that feeling. You have to kind of embrace it. You might be the fish out of water because you are experiencing new things, but that is the best way to learn. Occasionally things are going to go all wrong, but that's part of the process. You just have to trust that you are going to make your way through, and this experience will lay the groundwork for the next, which will be better. And eventually, you'll be at home in that situation and there will be a whole new adventure to tackle that will start it all over again. :) Be proud. This is a big accomplishment. I'm super happy for you and looking forward to seeing what you do with the opportunity!
