1.6.0 Backer Build

Hello Everyone!

It is time for our backer build of update 1.6.0 to go live, and you can find the links to play it below. We're very excited about this update and we hope that getting to know your employees will add a new layer of depth to Paradise Heights that we can expand in our future additions.

The new content should trigger for the first time about a week after Chapter 2 begins (or about a week after you load a save in chapter 2). After you've encountered it once, new events will be available approximately every two weeks. The tower is experiencing some growing pains, and players can either stay with Mason to fix the issue (avoiding a minor energy hit) or take the opportunity to take one of your transformed characters out on the town. Note that these events will be suspended during the hunt for Xavier to avoid any potentially messy timing issues, so make sure you nab your local nosy reporter if you intend to romance someone!

Each character currently has a two date introduction to their storyline. This should give you a pretty strong idea of what kind of stories you can expect to see from that character when the path is complete, and the next time that 'romance stories' wins our content voting we'll be doing a poll to see which characters are selected to finish out their lines entirely. Until then, the second date for each character will repeat as a placeholder.

HOTFIX:  1.6.1

Corrected an error where starting a fresh game would cause the date to show blank pages. Blame me (Luciana) for that one.

If you started a fresh game and get blank dates:

1) If you're playing online, reload / refresh the Paradise Heights page.
2) If you're playing offline, download the HTML file again from the updated link below.
3) Load your last save or autosave (or, save your game and then load the save again - that should fix it, too).
4) Try the dates again.
