A Patreon reward for Cat who wanted to get something done for a birthday! I have sort of felt pressured by other art styles to use a lot of airbrush in my eyes. In highschool, I used to do a lot of 2D shape language in the eyes with pretty minimal gradients though. I let myself lean back into that 2-D style because I miss it but its also a lot easier for animation! A win win!

For Aerozeppelin180! I was really excited to try out the opalescent latex, I've done it a few times as accents on outfits but never a full sona. The blue on Aero's back was really ideal to help tone down the rainbows. Super cute!

I am a slut for punky/gothy styles so this was right up my alley. Working with Izzy on these designs are great because I just get to create outfits middleschool me wished she could wear!!
Step by step for my artistic process on this. I spent awhile sketching and trying to get the perspective right. The redline is from my friend Luz. You can see I re-worked the linework from it's original sketch... it just felt so bland and lifeless. I did some research and found a style I could lean into.
