The Shadowbroker kept intense hours. a Galactic wide information Network couldn't just be handled by Liara, or just by Glyoph. When Liara hiured Kelly to help her manage it like she did the Normandy it was better, but even still the Shadowbroker made sure to take plenty of Vacations. Having a good Commander means that they know the crew. When it came the Shepard, nothing was more important than her crew, which meant that the crew had privileges others didn't. If you were on the Normandy crew and did your job, you could get a special night with the Commander, provided you got her a nice dinner first.
