This was something that Erin mentioned. I have done the pair of guys stumbling into an isolated cabin before, but here there are no occupants to lead them into a feminine existence. They do it themselves or are there mysterious influences in play? But the conclusion perhaps cements their future - if you can call it cement.

I don’t know about you, but I think that in the brief period that Tiffany posted as Tina (she has also posted as Mandy, Jennifer, Lisa, Cheryl and Julie) her captioned images had a slightly different feel. I don’t mean that they looked different, but there was a tone that seemed new as well. They may the last of her work (she happily moved on to a serious transition) but don’t worry as I ...

Quite a long one – something that I have called a sort of TG Jane Eyre. It was fun to write. I think it belongs in the imposter collection? Or I am also working on a volume “Times Past” and it could sit there?

The internet seems to absorb our lives, and can absorb all the lives of people like this person. Perhaps we know the type? Perhaps they are searching for their true nature in the avatars they use or in the people they pretend to be. Read this, and then consider - what became of the original Sarah?

This is another imposter story, as with last week, for a potential collection to be posted on Amazon, but probably not until next year. Erin came up with the seed which I have left as a footnote, but it seemed to me that a loving mother and a father driven to murder by shame in those uptight times, was more believable. Was I right? Erin now suggests that I change the ending an...

I had thought that I posted the first of the collections based on Jennifer’s stuff, but I was wrong. Beautiful images with a romantic feel, and very few words which give me plenty of room to work with just the tiniest kernel of an idea. There are plenty more from this capster!

Erin suggested that I start on an anthology themed “imposters” which I think does not pretenders but specifically identity stealers. One famous imposter was “The Tichbourne Claimant” which was the name of the movie that followed the real life story. This is a take on that. Watch for more imposter stories.

Over on BC there was some discussion about forced gender change being mandated by the state, and Iran was an example. It reminded me of the terrible things that took place in South Africa, and the man behind it all who still lives in freedom in Canada. This story is a fictional account of one of his victims.

Just a piece of whimsy. It may be from something Erin said to me. "Fripperies" is definitely her word.

Erin is pushing me to write another anthology of stories from the old west following the success of "All Her Misfortune" over on Amazon. I have to say that the style of the Western novella is very easy to work with, and does allow the story line to flow. This is something of my own creation and along with "Daylight Robbery", "The Miner's Wife" and the stories that I hinted at in my ...

This story is from another idea from Erin and she was so pleased with it that she asked whether she could post it on her Patreon page. It rather forced me to post it here, on my page, with some other stuff, midweek rather than my usual weekend post. Besides, I missed a posting a few weeks back, so I need to keep my loyal patrons topped up with reading material.

The Waters
This one is a joint effort with Erin. She wrote an outline for a very short story with enough detail for me to tell her that she had just written it! I took her words and added just a few hundred more, then she edited and added hers. The difference is that she called hers “The Pond” and, thinking that was a little too muddy (as the real Lake of Idols is, BTW) I prefer “Th...

Becky’s Collection No. 9
I wrote a total of 75 stories drawn from caps by Becky commissioned by John and later published online with his consent. Sadly his patronage stopped last year, so I have been posting new work simply as “Becky’s”. But just a note to say (as I said to him) that patronage is the lifeblood of Art, and I miss his contribution.

This is a short spy story set at the end of the cold war. I have noted the seed from Erin. It plays out largely in dialog which I hope reveals the characters, tells the story and holds promise for the future ... (?)

I usually record a seed as a footnote, but it is missing here. I am sure that Erin will remind me but I think the original idea was hers, although the rescuer being trans may not have been in there. Whatever the origin of this story it turned into a tale of one TG helping another to realize their dream, so what is wrong with that?
Comments please.

I love Becky's caps. Some might say that they are a little samey (yes, it is a real word now) but for me the common theme of voluntary change and happy outcomes is uplifting. The challenge is to take her little ditties and draw them into a story with real characters. I have tried to do that with these five captioned images.
It has suddenly occurred to me that I may have ...

Erin had a story in mind which I have reproduced at the foot of this one. It is a most unlikely tale, or so it seems to me. But I liked the idea of some traveller stepping into another life. It seems to me that many such restless souls walk about the world looking for a life, and what happens if hers seems to be the one that is just right? I suppose there are questions a...

Patrons will know that I write little riffs on captioned images and I post them on Fictonmania. These are things that just come to me when I see an image or pick up on an idea and they generally just emerge quickly. But some stories are worthy of enlargement and this is one of those.

Here is another file of five little stories from captioned images where the author was unknown, at least at the time. These little exercises are often from where I see it and start writing, but ...

I am working on publishing a collection of my historical stories, perhaps for release on Amazon next month, but certainly the month after. The real subject of this story however, is a famous king of England and of a large part of France...

I do like exploring different voices - the first person who tells the story can imprint on it so much of his own attitude and intellect. Here a scientist looking for a life companion decides that the sex of that person should not matter. He finds the perfect life partner, but will he be able to keep her?

I have done the "transformed on a cruise ship" thing before, but I think that the sales prize and the names came from Erin. This scenario does provide the isolated yet romantic environment for a lasting change, I think.

Tiffany is an incredible source of inspiration to me with these little caps. Sometimes the images are a little grainy but they are always good. Sometimes the text can be rushed but it is always short and with just enough detail to get me interested. I simply riff off these and stretch into a story. But some in this collection may well demand that I do more? Take for example “Murder Mystery”...
