In Alpha 3 we start generating PDFs... finally. The full rendering pipeline is working, and looks like:
`Data -> Code Transforms -> PDF
...but it's tough to use, because you need to be a coder, or an adventurous person, or a crazy person... or all 3, because the only way to get your data into a PDF right now is by writing code. Which is great for me...

After some serious time incubating, Alpha 2 is here! I made a video to walk through the features for you this, give it a watch. I'm also trying out Patreon's video post functionality for the first time.
This release is all about importing and managing data sources for your game components, focusing on Google Sheets. In reality, a lot of stuff changed behind the scenes as well to prepare for

I've been doing final testing to release "Scheming Vizier", the data management update to Paperize. This release is all about linking up your Google Sheets and making all of their data accessible for transformation, templating, and, ultimately, printing!
I came across something interesting when I sat down to do this to our characters for the weekly old-school D&D game I play in. (Ok, it's ac...

I've been working. I've been thinking. I've been researching. And the cycle repeats. Some of the steps forward:
1. Got a business bank account set up, so everything looks nice and legitimate in case anything goes legally sideways before we're ready. And really, who is ever ready? I used Iberia Bank, whi...

I've been head-down working, reading, and thinking about Paperize; about how to reach as many people as possible, with as little overhead as possible. How to expose:
- the most-awesome features
- to the most people
- at the least price
And I think I've got it figured out. So I'm coming up for air to share it with my patrons.
I'm going to express the s...

Good news! First alpha is here!!!
Ok, so it doesn't really do a whole lot, but that's the point of an "alpha" version: it's not feature complete, what does work is still buggy, and the user interface... umm, yeah.
But, a release is a release, and my vow to patrons is a steady stream of releases-and-information-about-releases, so we're starting this trend today!

We're closing in on the end of the first month of my return to Paperize as a primary project. I'm humbled by the warm support I've already received in this endeavor! And there is so much more to come, I'm feeling the pressure to release something. So that's going to happen. Alpha 1. This week. (Swear.)
It won't be much, certainly not the full feature set I'm targeting for 1.0, which, if...

Today I'm starting a new process of sharing ideas before coding them up. The idea is to communicate the vision for Paperize and get feedback from the community on the drawings now instead of on the running code at the end of the cycle. Changes will be easier to make this way and the whole project will move faster, pinky swear.

Paperize lives!
We've gone from 0 to 10 patrons in the past week or so, and crossed a secret milestone in the process: I'm no longer personally paying to keep the servers for the existing betas running! Sure, they weren't super-expensive, but it's a big vote of confidence nonetheless. Thank you!
New patrons this week include a handful of long-time beta users...
