On July 12, Ukrainian artillery set up conditions for an offensive on Bilohorivka, Luhansk.

On July 13, the Kraken Battalion moved into Bilohorivka with artillery support and liberated the settlement. Russian troops took heavy losses in house to house fighting.

There were multiple Russian POWs taken after the remaining force surrendered. The captured troops were well equipped.
