TH - Chapter 31 - Expert Opinions

The squad snapped to attention and saluted. “Good to see you again Ma’am,” Emily said.

“Emily. I see you still volunteer for cat herding duty,” Velvet replied with a smile. “It may be good for the bank account, but it’s bad for your health.”

“I’m aware,” Emily grumbled, glancing in my direction. What did I do?

Shattered Reality - The Shifting City - Chapter 4

Sooo... I totally planned on writing more today, but Vampire survivors just released a new expansion and I spent the entire day trying to clear the DLC. I'll admit, I got really distracted. Really wish I could afford to take my ADD meds and write everyday T_T.

Tomorrow is writing day, monday I have to deal with something, so I'll try and work on SR-TSC, DD and oth...

Shattered Reality - Shifting City - Chapter 3

I considered writing another TBoB today, but I wanted a little extra time to think about how to handle the siege, so Shattered instead.

I'm going to be rewriting the monster fight in the previous chapter soon (probably tomorrow) it wasn't horrifying enough for me. Instead of a fucked up guy, I'm going for more of a eldritch monster feeling. Since I explained the new monster lat...

TH - Chapter 30 - Taking to Long

“How did you open that door?” Emily asked as I Skyler and I crouched in half an inch of enzyme catalyst, looking over the two survivors. “It’s supposed to be impossible to open a shelter before the all clear signal goes out?”

“Samurai magic,” I muttered as I watched the little medical scanner Skyler was running over the victims. “I needed to open up a vault and ...

TBoB - Chapter 20 - Declarations

Think this is going to be a shorter book, but I'm okay with that. Teddy is planning on keeping out of the conflict, but exactly how long do you think that's going to last? We'll see.

I briefly locked eyes with Hel as I stepped into the Family’s briefing room. The last time I was here was right before heading to Seattle, and we both knew I really wasn’t thrilled...

TH - Chapter 29 - What Lies Beneath

“This is the second time you injured yourself kicking something, you’re going to buy some decent boots the next chance you get,” Skyler nagged as we left the APC.

“I will! It’s the first thing on my list!” I promised. “How about we call the kitten Tawny”

“We’re not calling her that,” Skyler immediately denied.

“Why not?...

TH - Chapter 28 - Little pet shop of horrors

The APC slowed to a stop right next to the ruined petshop. I tried to peer through the ruined windows, but I could only make out the smashed vanity accessory displays in the gloom.

“That’s a lot of damage,” Bulldog muttered.

“I think we know where all those antithesis went,” Emily agreed.

Skyler bit her lip as her eyes darted ba...

TBoB - Chapter 19 - Breakdown

Since Sharron didn’t have anywhere to go, and was living out of her RV, I let her move into level five of the tower, once construction had finished. I even loaned her the beavers so she could arrange the space however she wanted. I didn’t expect her to go all out, and completely trick the place out, but I didn’t expect her to go so minimalist.

She had a ...

TH - Chapter 27 - The Orange Zone

“Are you sure about this boss?” Jockey asked quietly, “We’ll probably attract the attention of the flocks if we go closer.”

“Is that a problem?” Skyler asked.

“Well… Once we attract the fliers they won’t stop coming, so we’ll have to flip the gun to flak mode and keep it there. We have enough ammo for thirty minutes of coverage, but we’l...

Shattered Reality - Shifting City - Chapter 2

The agent stared at me for a moment. “Anton Stayer?” he finally asked, hesitantly.

“I have the details right here,” I replied, flashing my bracelet again. I slipped into the chair next to his desk and held out my arm so he could scan it. The man grabbed his scanner, ran it over my ID, and quickly checked the readout.

He frowned. “It’s...

TBoB Emotes

So, I've had these emotes on my Discord for awhile now, and since you guys supported me I decided to share them. I'm not sure if Patreon will allow you to DL them, but I'm hoping. If not, let me know and I'll try and find another way to share.

Shattered World - Book 1 The Shifting City - Chapter 1

So, I did manage to get three chappies done today, but one might not come out for awhile. I'm actually working on a collab with many other SCS FF authors, and because there's so many of us it's taking awhile. I'm going to see if I can get permission to post something soon.

Now, for this story... it's something I wanted to write for awhile, and even attempted once ...

DD - Chapter 54 - The Fated Battle

I casually danced between the panels, making sure to keep Narhas at least a glaive length away. My sister was already breathing hard, which wasn’t surprising, considering that she was absolutely covered in plate armor and carrying both a massive mace and shield. She’d occasionally charge forward, trying to catch me in the midst of a jump, or twirl, but that always ended ...

Chapter 26 - Dealing with Trauma

So I'm still planning on doing 3 chappies tomorrow. DD, a new story, and... maybe TBob? I like DD, and want to get book 1 done, it's just fallen to the wayside, so gotta pick it up again. As for the new story, it's one I tried to start before. What can I tell you? Cyberpunk-ish, Eldritch-ish, Post-Appocalypse-ish, adventure. That's not an amazing description, but I'll hopefully be able to get...

Chapter 18 - Avoiding Drama

Issi time! Explaining some of the setup Teddy has spent the last few months putting together. Still trying to think of what the next emergency could be... not quite the time for the big twist.

I spent the next couple days trying to avoid dealing with Family. I did spend a couple hours redirecting some bears, optimizing their patrol routes and changing their standby po...

TH - Chapter 25 - Easily Dealt With

A quick check of the second shelter revealed that it was both full of civilians and completely secure. It was a lot more difficult to maneuver Howie to the panel and power things up, but it was worth it in the end. Since there wasn’t anyone important inside, and we couldn’t let everyone out at this time, we just did a quick check then headed back outside.

TH - Chapter 24 - Friendly Fire

Only managed 3 today, which is actually pretty impressive considering the circumstances. I'm going to try the 3/3 pattern later this week, after I move someplace a little better for working.

“Why the fuck was this thing here?” I asked as I plunged my sword repeatedly into the Twelve’s head. I was pretty sure it was already dead, but it was always better to be safe than...

TBoB - Book 3 - Chapter 17 - City Status

So... I had planned to try a new schedule this week. Doing 6 chapters over three days, instead of 4 on one. Then... things happened to my house and... let's just say my writing situation is not ideal right now. I'll try and get another one or two chapters out today, but unfortunately I doubt anything will be stable until Thursday.

I'm not going to go into any more...

I found that Emily and the squad had spread out, and were providing overwatch when Skyler and I stepped out of the shelter. “Everything good?” the commander asked, without directly looking at me.

“According to the manager they managed to evacuate all the guests to the shelters before they lost power,” I replied, leaning down to help Skyler disconnect...

Despite looking like absolute junk, the mascot moved surprisingly quickly. It danced forward, like a kid pretending to be a ballerina, until it was right next to me. “Ticket please?”

TBoB - Chapter 16 - The Shakes

"Why the hell did we take the marsupial out today to do the checks?” Nora asked, rotating her chair away from the console she was sitting at. When she’d arrived to continue our inspection this morning, I suggested we take the massive ship out for a joyride. There was a moment of panic when it rose out of the undercity exit, I saw a number of law enforcement vehicles rush towards us, but the...

TH - Chapter 21 - An Unnerving Silence

As the stupid plush mascot fell to the ground I quickly glanced around the area. I’m sure the park had been designed to be as welcoming as possible with colorful, cartoony facades on all the buildings, but without any illumination they just looked twisted. Wrong. Worst of all there were androids everywhere. There were a dozen food stalls with androids behind them, a line of old sch...

Announcements!

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you all know, there probably wont be as many chapters released today. I have family obligations today, which'll cut my writing time short. I'll post whatever I can though.

Also:

I'll be releasing Tarnished at the start of next month. I'm going to try and release ten chapters at first, and another chapter every day, trying to complete the sto...

TBoB - Book 3 - Chapter 15 - The Little Ones

Late one tonight, but I finished it! Soon back to the plot.

I slipped into Eddie’s room next. The boy had changed over the last few months from someone that wasn’t interested in anything, to someone that showed vague interest in one thing. Poetry.

He had an entire shelf full of books now, and became so engrossed in his poetry that he’d lose track of wha...

Once the team recovered and stowed away their equipment, Skyler, Emily and I got together to discuss our next step.

“So our choice is either to head closer to where we suspect that model Seventeen is located, or closer to the epicenter of the incursion,” Skyler explained as we looked over the map. “Both have their risks, but I recommend going deeper.”

I watched as the squirrel I was connected to climbed all over some anti air emplacement half a city away. TBoB - Book 3 - Chapter 12 - An Independent Initiative

So... this chapter replaces the 12 I posted last writing day. I felt like the story was moving too quickly for my liking, and it felt like Helen and Sharron were in the discussion for pretty much no reason. This provides a more firm idea of what the samurai are doing to prepare, at least the more independent ones. Don't know if I'll re-use that previous 12. I kind of want to change the...
