Celebration of life details

Mikayla’s celebration of life will take place at 11am on 12th July at the sanctuary here in Minnesota.

It is technically a ticketed event, so we can keep an eye on numbers, per the police and sheriff, but it is free to attend.

Coyote yard update!

Hey everyone! :)

Our coyotes in Minnesota are getting an updated enclosure! Since they arrived they have been in an enclosure with out mink cage and a picnic table, which they loved but it’s the only place us humans have to eat at the rescue so we need it back. And our minks would love having their outdoor enclosure again so we had to take that back as well.

Quick update for Big Red and Mince

These two have now been sharing a home together for a month. They are not bonded with one another yet, but I feel super optimistic they will in the future. They have been respecting each other’s boundaries and I have yet to see any fights break out, so all positive signs! They pretty much just do their own things. They sure do make an adorable pairing though!

Frank the badger got adopted!

I definitely did a BIG CRY when Frankie got adopted. I wanted to be able to give him this life. I always wanted a badger. And to be surrendered one is SUPER rare. But it's just bad timing. I still have 90 foxes to save.

And look how amazing him enclosure is at his new home! He is living at Nature's Kingdom Conservation in MI

Happy Caturday everyone!

The tiniest, most adorable get away ever!

The pups have begun weaning this week, and this morning Sammi and Murphy both gave their chicken to the babies, and this adorable little munchkin made a swiftly adorable get away with one of the pieces!

The babies are walking!

I wanted to share this with you guys, the babies are old enough to be walking around and exploring their room!

We clean the room they are in twice a day since mom and dad are a liiiiiittle messy. 😅 When I went in to clean I found these two babies and had to get video of the silver female walking around and checking things out. More baby fox content to come! :)

An update on Joker aka J.J

A couple weeks ago, we posted that Joker/J.J had to go to the emergency vet due to acting lethargic and not having an appetite. After taking him to the emergency vet, we discovered he ate something he shouldn't have (a part of a towel) and as a result had to have a portion of intestine removed.

It's been a couple weeks now and he's back to his loving self already. His stitches look good...

When it comes to the snakes, I can't help but be enamored by Milkyway and Venus, our two milksnakes. There's just something so unique about their coloring and how they act.
