Momo and Tilty now having yard time together! 🤎🤎
2025-04-11 20:09:28 +0000 UTC View PostTilty Fox is now with us at SAF south in hopes to be living with Momo, our seizure fox. This is the first day of me doing introductions with them. I kept them in a more controlled environment in case it didn’t go well, but it went very well and I couldn’t be happier! Momo is a bit unsure still at this point, but you can hear Tilty scream “Love me love me!!” They will make an adorable co...
2025-04-11 00:47:07 +0000 UTC View PostEvery week, part of my chores is to let the snakes out into a room so they have room to stretch, slither around, and give me a chance to clean their tank.
Unfortunately, Citron, our 12 foot long albino lavender reticulated python, is also our resident prick.
Here you can see he found a way to get all the way up in the corner of the room, wrap himself in every cable available, and ...
Meet this handsome Umbrella cockatoo who just joined us!
Though birds are not a species we typically take in, he was an exception with the best reason. A sanctuary was able to adopt four fur farm foxes if we could take him in. This allows more foxes to finally get their freedom and I am a huge bird lover, so it’s a win all around! I have birds of my own, including a rescued cockatoo, ...
2025-04-09 00:57:24 +0000 UTC View PostI'm back! Finally got some nice weather and I finally busted my camera out!
I'm just warming up. I just got a copy of Lightroom and I'm looking to see just how good I can get.
These are unedited. Hope you all enjoy them!
If you had seen some of our previous videos of our new rescues. Cindy (who got renamed Sammi by a generous donor) Arrived at our sanctuary a few weeks ago. And upon her first vet appointment with us, it was revealed that she was pregnant!
Today she gave birth to her first baby at 1:15am. You guys are the first to know.
She is the first time mother. So we have all the supplies on ...
We try to give foxes who are in quarantine as much attention as possible. This video is just me playing with Chester and a toy he likes.

She may be the most pet-receptive fox I've ever met. Except maybe Umbreon. She would sit there all day just being pet.

Had to pull this fox off the fur farm early. He is from the last hundred left. Or she! (We still need to check).
Needless to say, he's a little special 🤪
He has some balding going on on his tail so he will be taken to the vet to get that checked out!
Poor Ruby girl has had NO treats since her kidney diagnosis. This is because getting her to a healthy number and maintaining her kidney health was priority #1. Now that she's in a good spot we got some kidney-friendly treats for her so she can finally get treats again! Here's me giving her the first treat (from me) in over half a year!

2025-03-10 14:00:14 +0000 UTC View PostThese are two more rescues that came from the emergency intake case of 9 animals.
Our quarantine pens are set up in the garage so they get to take their turns at garage time until we get them all vet checked and moved on to their new homes. We might keep a few if we can integrate them into our existing Fox groups. We will see how that goes!
Now meet the wolves!!
A little over a week ago we had a urgent surrender case. These animals options were either take them or they might be euthanized or taken to a fur farm.
So we don't intend on permanently keeping any of these new rescues but we are giving them a safe haven until they have new homes.
If this wasn't an urgent case we would not have taken them on, as righ...
Hello everyone! :)
I just wanted to take a minute to introduce you guys to our newest emergency pet surrender. His name is Timmy and he is a 22 year old ringtail lemur! You might notice his eye and yes, he does have cataracts.
We do have a home lined up for him that has experience in lemur care, but until they’re ready for him he will be in our care. Curren...

2025-02-14 17:41:29 +0000 UTC View PostIt's very cold here. -12°f at night. So Funguy our epileptic fox has to be in the heated garage because it could be deadly if he were to have a seizure in this weather.
So we brought Tilty indoors because if he doesn't have her, he gets depressed and doesn't take his meds!
We feel bad that Funguy has to spend so much time indoors because of our harsh winters, so we have decided it ...
Pogo: Let’s play!
Big Red: I don’t want to.
Pogo: Let’s plaaaaaay!!
Big Red: I said No!
Pogo: FINE!
It was Self defense on Pogo’s part, but he really just wanted to play lol
The good news is that there was zero damage to the actual eye and you can see it’s already just about healed up!
2025-02-11 23:12:32 +0000 UTC View PostJust wanted to give you guys a quick update on the newest fur farm foxes we picked up the other day! :)
They all are being treated for some pretty bad ear mites and one with a horrible ear infection. Pearl girly was taken back to the emergency vet last night as she stopped eating again, she’s back at Saveafox on some more meds so we will post more about that shortly!

2025-02-06 05:50:52 +0000 UTC View PostJack has been extra friendly lately which means, of course, he has to make sure you smell like him if he likes you.
Trust me when I say, it's better than getting peed on.
I've been dreading this post but it's been a week now, and it is time.
Years ago Dixie had broken her tail. Maybe you have noticed over the last couple years that the last four or more inches of her tail appeared smushed and non-functioning, definitely not as voluptuous as it had been the previous years. She could wag the base of her tail but the tip itself did not work.
We knew...
Faelyn was neutered today and he’s learning how to live with the dreaded cone! He should heal quickly and be back to zooming in no time.
2025-01-31 02:57:06 +0000 UTC View PostIntroducing our reptiles for the first time! I will make the occasional post showing them off in more detail in the future, I just wanted to start by showing them off.
2025-01-27 15:00:12 +0000 UTC View PostIt's been so cold lately we've been giving some of our more vulnerable foxes cold breaks in the garage. Part of that includes letting them out to explore and play and stretch their legs.
2025-01-22 15:00:14 +0000 UTC View PostWe have a lot of reptiles here at the rescue, mostly snakes.
Is anyone interested in seeing our reptiles maybe once every couple weeks?
Would anyone unsubscribe at the sight of occasional rescue snakes?
The reason we to usually don't show our reptiles is because we know there are people who are not fond of them.
The cats are longing to go outside. Especially Fergi 😺
Ever since we got our yards redone, we still need to put the electric wire at the top. Without it Fergi can scale the fence.
He has been showing his frustration by peeing around the house 😑
For all of our sakes that we are hoping it warms up enough so that we can finish the electric wire and Fergie can go back to pretending ...
