While playing with this, I realised that the reason I haven't done much Angel Corps work since transitioning to Iray, is that the plain white suit really doesn't look as good.

I'll have to think about how I deal with that.

These updates feel a little superfluous now that I'm getting the hang of things:

For Tier 1 there'll be the usual weekly scene: I'll be using these to showcase some of the battles I envisage for the upcoming Scuba series, as well as to test out some other new concepts.

For Tier 2, the action will start hotting up in the Cowgirls story, which has been on a bit of a scene-setting slow...

Western Cavalry Ambush

So there was an awful lot of interest in the Cavalry outfit I shared last week to Tier 2 members. It'll be a long time before I'm ready to make this into a proper story, but it'd be rude not to make these girls the subject of a battle scene given the excitement they generated.

More background business

I've mostly been grinding away at the training montage- getting the extra images ready for the pool and the pilates gym montage. But I've also found a better scuba gear set, from good old Genesis 3, and I've got an idea for an underwater speargun shooting range that will also go in the opening sequence.

OK, so I'm still wading through combat scenes with the Wood Elves vs Goblins; I need to finish the last few Drop Pods scenes; there's another few triptychs to finish; I haven't even started the last stand at the saloon with the Cowgirls; I'm getting quite excited about the potential of the Scuba girls story I'm starting; and I need to make sure I keep on top of releasing my weekly renders.

Halloween Paladins

After the battle scene I made for Halloween two years ago, I was planning to do a follow-on montage of close-ups. I was still experimenting with wound and blood effects, and basically I felt like the blood looked too much like tomato sauce, so the renders stayed in their folder and were never published.

The Cavalry are coming!

I wrote a great big list of all the work I needed to prioritise, all the renders I needed to do, and all the jobs I needed to catch up on now that I've spent the week playing KCD2.

Then, on a whim, I spent an hour combing my library to make a kit-bashed US Cavalry uniform, complete with hand-drawn stripes.

I love a good transport render, and I've definitely decided that they're getting to the battle via submarine. This sub-pen has been sitting in my library for years now, waiting to be used.
