hi! how is everyone doing. I have a new video for you all. my challenge for myself was to make it in one month while i was waiting for the sfx and music to be done with catopolis. it was pretty fun :) gonna be posting this live in a few days. (not charging for this one because of our fucked up economy. so you all will only be charged once for catopolis on july 1st :D )

The past few days I felt really compelled to draw a close up of a cup. I don't know why. There are a couple of scenes with characters drinking, and i just kept thinking "wouldn't it be great if you could just see what's in one of the cups". It doesn't change the story or anything, but it just seemed awesome to draw a close up of a cup with some liquid and (the best part) some ice cubes floating...

color process

i'm back from my trip :) and ready to color! This is how i do it:

1. I draw with pencil on 11 x 17 paper and scan it in. I included the original unaltered scan

2. I clean it up, edit out overlapping lines/mistakes, and turn up the contrast to get the stark black line. Then I block in colors, not paying attention to what exact color things should be but what things should be differen...
