Hello everyone, and welcome to the third edition of Jessika's Diary, where we discuss progress on the development of the game.
April has come and gone, and the level generator prototype has been completed as planned. We'll be tiding it up and adding a few extra features, but the key coding that generates and assembles the levels at a controlled random rate is working as intended, which is the important thing. The backers have had it to play with for over a week now, and we'll be releasing it to the public next week.
The work for the next prototype (which I'm sure is the one people care about the most), adding the lust system, and adult animations, to combat is currently underway. Mint is working on the required code (you can read his report, here), as well as developing a tool that will allow Sommy to create screens for levels without much additional coding, which will save a lot of time in the long run. Sommy is currently working in spine to finish up the first adult animation (goblin x Jessika - the backers have seen his progress), and he'll soon be moving on to the Mouse version. We are just planning one animation per enemy at the moment, but if funding increases, so too will the number of animations.
That's all for this month. Now that the base systems have been created, it is exciting to be getting to the adult content, and we are looking forward to sharing that with you all. Once the lust prototype is done, we will be moving on to implementing the town, where party management will take place, so look out for some upcoming teasers of the characters you will be meeting there.
