I would rate it about the same. I liked it, but I like the original better. I always prefer originals over remakes, with a few movie exceptions, like The Fly and The Thing. I always find it strange that nobody ever recognizes Tim Robbins from The Shawshank Redemption in this. I just looked and didn't see The Shawshank Redemption in the list of movies you have seen. If you haven't seen it, you must. The Shawshank Redemption is the highest-rated movie on IMDb of all time. 2.3 Million people voted for The Shawshank Redemption.
