I guess that's not technically a spoiler since they never outright state it in the movies, but I don't think the books reveal that until Deathly Hallows, correct?

2022-05-06 18:09:26 +0000 UTCJust an FYI, Harry has to stay with the Dursleys because he is blood related to his Aunt and that affords him magical protection from Voldemort. He's actually safe at the Dursleys even though they are horrid to him. They cannot get rid of him because Dumbledore is forcing them to let Harry live there.
