Do not worry. I am always open to criticism. I don't fault anyone for pointing out something they think I'm doing wrong. In fact, I welcome it. Because if they are right, it's something I can improve on and become a better writer as a result of it.

2023-08-01 03:34:40 +0000 UTCHopefully this isn’t taken the wrong way, but this chapter feels like the story is finally getting started. It’s been a very slow build so far. I’m reminded of Zane Grey western novels. While his world-building and descriptive writing was visually compelling, he often rambled a bit too much and crossed the line of “too much filler”. Again, not meant as a heavy criticism, I’m enjoying it and I understand you have to build up the world and “system” your story is held within. But I do hope the future chapters are more like this one and move a little faster.
